People have many questions concerning life. What are the origins of life? How I can have a new life? What are priorities for life? These Bible verses about life will help you sort through those questions and hopefully answer some of your questions. When we were born, we were not given and instruction manual for life. Our parents were not given one either. We all do our best to figure out the questions of life. However the Bible is a book given to us by God to help us discover that blueprint for life. I say it helps us discover because the Bible is not God, it is His book. His purposes for our life is to have relationship with Him and even though the Bible is God’s love letter to us, it is just the letter. He wants our relationship to be with Him personally. So it is my heart and prayer that these Bible verses about life will spring you forward in your search and journey for a more vibrant and real relationship with the Creator of the universe and His son Jesus Christ.
Bible Verses About the Origins of Life, Eternal Life, and Priorities in Life.
Scripture passages on the origins of life
Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.
You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
And now the Lord speaks— the one who formed me in my mother’s womb to be his servant, who commissioned me to bring Israel back to him. The Lord has honored me, and my God has given me strength.
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
Bible quotes on eternal life and having a new life.
Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life.
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life. They will never be condemned for their sins, but they have already passed from death into life.
For it is my Father’s will that all who see his Son and believe in him should have eternal life. I will raise them up at the last day.”
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.

In this new life, it doesn’t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us.
1 Peter 1:23
For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.

But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say,‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”
You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.
Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained by living a godly life.

2 Peter 1:3
[ Growing in Faith ] By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.
Applying these verses about life.
As you can see, the Bible teaches that life originates from God and does so in the mother’s womb. He created each and every one of us and we are fearfully and wonderfully made. To denigrate and lessen the sanctity of life in the womb causes us to do the same to life outside the womb. Because every life is precious in the sight of God, including the lives of the defenseless and innocent lives that each mother carries inside of her, abortion should always be something that a Christian stands against and speaks out against in civil ways. We should be the ones who speak for the little ones.
Since the Bible clearly teaches that any man, woman, boy or girl can have eternal life, and that God specifically provided a way for us to enter into that eternal life, I pray that every person that reads these Bible verses about life will experience that eternal life and start a personal relationship with Jesus. No matter what you have done, including in your ignorance possibly ending the life of a newborn infant, you can still have a new life in Jesus. He will give you a fresh start. Nothing anyone has done is beyond His ability to let old things pass away and have all things become new.
Finally in these scriptures about life, we see that the priorities in life for a believer in Jesus are different than the priorities of life in the world. We are to live a different kind of lifestyle. One that is focused on our relationship with our Savior and one that reaches out to hurting people. We are called to be holy people. Holy means that we are “set apart”. Now this does not mean to act weird or dress funny, but it means to be set apart to God for His purposes. Acting weird and dressing funny is just another side of the coin of bringing attention to yourself. You are called to bring attention to God. So ask yourself and go and ask God how am I bringing positive attention to Jesus and showing the world He is real and that they can have new life in Him?
Blessings to you all!
