As I did my research for this post, I found myself amazed at how God can use a simple bible verse to encourage people to rise up above their circumstances and become mighty men and women of valor. I am going to lay out for you the bible verses that encouraged the Apostles, The Reformers, American Evangelicals, and the most influential men and women of God in the 20th century. I think you will find that God has been building and forming His church all throughout history that He is still in control today.

Moody, Charles Finney, Billy Sunday, to reach out to the hurting, the helpless, the drunks and the poor, to start Sunday school classes, ride horses thousands of miles to preach in barns, stables, and storefronts. These same bible verses that encourage, motivated the likes of Charles Seymour, A.B. Simpson, Aimee Semple McPherson, A.A. Allen, and Billy Graham to reach out to people with the good news of a personal relationship with Jesus and the power, strength and encouragement that is found only in that relationship.
