Immanuel – God with Us
Here is the verse that people call the “God is with you Bible verse”.
And here is another that confirms that God in the person of Jesus is always with us.
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Jesus being God is with you always!
The final words of Jesus before He ascended into heaven were “I am with you always, even to the end of the age”. These words have comforted millions over the years. However does that mean that God is with us always? In order to answer that question we have to look at what the Bible teaches about Jesus. In Matthew 1:23 it says, 23 “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” and in Colossians 2:9 it says” 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;”
God is with you if you know Jesus
The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus was not just a good man, a prophet, or some type of new age ascended master, but He was God in the flesh and dwelt among us. So when Jesus said He would be with us, even to the end of the age, it means God is with you, me, and everyone who knows Jesus personally.
God is with you even in the storms of life
You can take comfort in this fact every time you go through a trial you need to overcome, or a storm that life has thrown your way, or when someone has disappointed you. Jesus will not leave you nor forsake you. You can get guidance from Him on what to do. You can find strength and hope and inspiration. Now I don’t know about you, but to me, that is a deal no man or woman in their right mind would refuse?
Now that is something to think about!
