I got this idea last night as our praise and worship team was practicing at the Pine Haven Vineyard. They were sounding great and it was an answered prayer that we finally have a praise and worship team together here at our tiny little church.
Having known Jesus for 32 years now, and also having started my walk of faith at the same time modern praise and worship music came on the scene, I thought I would give you my top 10 worship songs from the past 32 years. Praise and worship has been one of the things that has helped and encouraged me over the years. I hope these songs encourage you.
My top 10 list of praise and worship songs.
#10 Sing Hallelujah to the Lord The first worship song I ever heard.
#9 He has made me glad. The first song that I ever saw people clapping to the music in church.
#8 Your Beloved. The song that healed my broken heart.
#7 In The Secret. This song has always been the prayer of my heart.
#6 Light the Fire Again. This song always challenges me to press in and seek Jesus more.
#5 I Exalt Thee. This song is my favorite to just get lost in worship.
#4 Garments of Praise. This song is the one I play every time I start to feel down and discouraged.
#3 How He Loves Us. This song is the song I play when I need reminded of God’s love for me.
#2 Spirit Song. No matter how many times I hear this song, the words draw me to Jesus.
#1 Hungry. I don’t know how many times this song has been the cry of my heart.
