In another step that shows the true colors of liberalism, the Democratic party has removed any reference to “God” in their party’s platform for the 2012 democratic convention. In a story I found at LifeNews.com, CBN reporter David Brody discovered the change and confirmed that it was intentional. Here are some excerpts from the story.

Democrats have removed any mention of God from their party platform, dropping language from the 2008 version that at least had a passing reference to the Creator whom the founders of the nation explained grants the rights we enjoy.
Eagle-eyed reporter David Brody of CBN News discovered the omission.
“Guess what? God’s name has been removed from the Democratic National Committee platform,” he writes. “The Brody File has calls into DNC to explain why God’s name has been dropped from the platform. Some critics will suggest that when you have planks in your platform that support abortion rights and gay marriage then it’s no wonder that God’s name would be dropped as well.”
Thomas Peters of CatholicVote also noticed Brody’s report on the change and responded:
“Yet another step in the secularizing evolution of modern progressivism,” he said. “You can see the draft of the 2012 DNC platform here and, sure enough, there is no mention of “God” anywhere in it. The 2012 GOP platform, meanwhile, mentions “God” 12 times, including in this Preamble (penned by Catholic Chairman Gov. Bob McDonnell):
Peters concludes: “Now that’s quite a contrast. What does it say when a national party refuses to even mention God once in its platform? I think it says a lot. And I’m curious what liberal Catholics have to say about the DNC’s choice to eliminate the last remaining vestige of God’s name from their platform this year.”

Does it matter if a political party acknowledges God?

Same here. As soon as I heard about it, I got the word out. It is a sad day for any remaining Christian Democrats.
It seems that late this afternoon, amidst boo’s and protests, the Democrats added 1 reference to God in their platform.
Yes they finally added God, but only after two votes failed, they kept voting until it passed. Then once it did they booed it.
That’s what I heard too Earl. How lame is that?
