Bible Verse of the Day – Do Not Worry

The BiMatthew 6:25ble verseDo not worry” comes from Matthews gospel where Jesus is giving a dissertation on the law of Moses. It is more commonly called the sermon on the mount. Here He encourages us to trust in our heavenly Father and said to not worry, because God cares for us.

Matt 6:25-26 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

We do not worry because God truly loves us!

Here Jesus is affirming to us that our heavenly Father loves us dearly and cares about the basic things in life such as food and shelter. He knows of your need and is more than willing to meet the needs of His children.

  • The key to having God take care of your needs and concerns is to first have a personal relationship with Jesus. You need to become one of God’s children and that is done through Jesus.
  • Secondly you need to learn how to pray in the way Jesus taught. Prayer is communication with God and you need to learn how to talk to God and not just do a religious exercise.
  • Finally you need to feed your faith with God’s word, the bible. It is what strengthens your spiritual life. It makes your inner man stronger.

Do not worry. God will take care of your needs.

So my friend, do not worry. Take care of these very basic things and God will supply all of your needs. He loves you dearly and it gives Him good pleasure to take care of His kids quite well.

Blessings

Pastor Duke

Great post! It coincides with a couple of verses that I read yesterday in Philippians:

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

May you have a blessed day! :)

Thanks for the reminder! As I look around at the things (i.e. house) that I *want* I need to be reminded that I already have a house that covers our *needs* ;-)

Excellent post! I worry alot, especially about my role as a Christian Mother and if I am doing my "job" correctly. I tend to look at other children and compare them to my own. And, mine always seem to fall short. Not a good thing to do, I know, but lately, I have been doing this.
