The more I cover news stories about atheists the more I roll my eyes at this group of individuals that claim their intelligence has led them to know that God does not exist. Between the guy who is suing a restaurant over a shrimp’s worth of discount for people who bring in a church bulletin, to the guy who is suing a small town for having a cross on a plot of land worth $3,000 dollars to the story I covered just the other day about a group of atheists that are suing the private 911 memorial museum for displaying a steel cross found in the rubble, it seriously makes me question if combined they have enough points to make 1 normal IQ score.
This time the story is about an Orange County California Atheist group who is planning on shredding Bible pages in protest. Now as much as I support any American’s right to protest and their form of free speech, this seriously smacks of Nazi book burning. The group called Backyard Skeptics will be arriving this afternoon at Huntington Beach California near the pier to demonstrate their ignorance by destroying pages of the Bible that they don’t like or don’t understand. Here is the story I found in the Orange County Weekly.
Burning books or shredding the Bible. What is the difference?
A street preacher who regularly evangelizes to inattentive tourists passing by will find himself joined by atheists tearing up passages plucked from the Holy Bible.
Why?
“[T]to demonstrate that no one can live by certain laws of the bible, and that many verses in the bible are immoral or just plain silly and should not be approved of in today’s modern culture,” reads a statement Backyard Skeptics leader Bruce Gleason of Fountain Valley sent over.
Backyard Skeptics explains it will mirror the scripture shredding Thomas Jefferson did to remove what he believed to be immoral, nonsensical and contradictory parts–which left an 88-page Jefferson Bible.

If atheists are smart enough to know that God doesn’t exist, then how come they can’t figure out the difference between moral law, dietary law, and ceremonial law?
The law of Moses had 3 parts. Moral law, ceremonial law, and dietary law. All three of these were followed by “Jewish” people and their converts up until the time of Christ. When Christ came, He fulfilled the requirements of the law. Ceremonial law and Dietary law became a matter of conscience and Moral law was still the standard to govern society by but an avenue for forgiveness in transgressing that law was made.
I do not believe that atheists are actually so stupid that they do not understand this about the Bible. I believe that they choose to act this stupid in order to deceive the uneducated and ignorant people who know nothing of the Bible. It is just another propaganda technique designed to advance their “God free” agenda for our society.
Don’t you think it is time to confront this agenda? I do!
